Sponsorship Program

PSF is seeking sponsorships for the needy underprivileged Palestinian students in the universities that it cooperates with. PSF is interested in the following specialties:

Nursing:

Lebanon is badly in need of nurses. The Minister of health HE Wael Abu Faour stated that Lebanon is in need of 26000 nurses while Lebanon has only 6,000 nurses. The present head of the nursing syndicate  Ms. Doumit gave also nearly the same figures and she is expecting the need to rise in the coming few years due to the expansion of hospitals and health centers. So Palestinian nurses will have very good job opportunities in the Lebanese market.

  • PSF is seeking   50% of the annual fees for nursing students at AUB which is in the amount of $8,390 per student/year. The other 50% is given by the university as financial aid. Number of years: 4
  • PSF is seeking also 50% of the annual fees of nursing students at LAU in the amount of $6000 per student/year. The other 50% is given by the university as financial aid. Number of years: 4
  • PSF is seeking 100%of the tuition fees in Al Makassed  Nursing school which is in the amount  of 12,000,000 LL equivalent to 8,000 USD per year. Number of years: 3

Medical Imaging at AUB:

This is a new specialization at AUB and the graduates will be needed in all the Arabic region. 100 % is highly appreciated.

The cost per student/year is $ 10,690. Number of years: 3

 

Medical Audiology at AUB:

This is a new specialization at AUB and the graduates form this program will be highly needed in all the Arabic region. 100% is highly appreciated

The cost per student/year is $ 10,900. Number of years: 3

 

Computer science:

PSF encourages students to study computer science  because computer science  graduates  have good employment opportunities. They can be also self-employed.

The cost is  $ 23,455 at AUB and $15,694 at LAU per student/year. Number of years: 3
100% or 50% is highly appreciated.

 

Computer Engineering:

PSF encourages students to study Computer Engineering  because graduates have good employment opportunities.

The cost is: $ 23,420 at AUB (without summer) and $ 17,138 (without summer) at LAU per student/year. (4 years and summer at AUB - 5 years at LAU)
100% or 50% is highly appreciated.

 

Speech Therapy at Saint Josef University:

This specialty is highly needed in the Lebanese and Palestinian communities. Saint Joseph University is ready to give the course in English if PSF secures a class of ten students.

The cost per student/year: $10,000. Number of years: 4
